Proper width in running shoes is important for a correct shoe
fitting. Don't buy shoes that feel too tight and expect them to stretch to
fit. Choose styles that conform as nearly as possible to the shape of your
foot. If you have a wide and/or square-shaped foot, pressure on the 5th toe
(little toe) can be more important for fit than fitting the big toe.
Remember, feet come in all shapes and sizes and the shoes that fit better
will perform better.
